CS Master Student & Software Developer
I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree and working as a teaching assistant in the Computer Science department at TUM. As a self-employed developer, I'm building SwimResults, a comprehensive software platform for swimming competitions. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, skiing, hiking, and I have a passion for trains.
In 2021, I completed my Abitur with a grade of 1.3. During my school years, I participated in various competitions, including the Saxon Computer Science Competition where I secured second place. Another notable achievement was my participation in Jugend forscht, where I earned third place in the Saxon state competition with my research on combining backpropagation and genetic algorithms for training neural networks to play the game Snake.
From 2021 to 2025, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Informatics at TUM, and I'm currently pursuing the consecutive Master's program in Informatics at the same institution.
As a teaching assistant at TUM, I serve as head TA for "Introduction to Programming" and support "Patterns in Software Engineering". Over five semesters in this role, I've focused on mentoring students, designing exercises, and managing course logistics. Each semester brings new insights from working with students as they progress from fundamental concepts to building complete applications.
My primary personal project is SwimResults, a comprehensive platform for swimming competitions that I've been developing since 2023. The platform delivers live timing, results, and start lists to athletes, coaches, and spectators through web and mobile applications.
I've been involved in several research and development projects at university, including a collaboration with the German Museum in Munich and LMU to create a virtual version of the Eitz Reinharmonium, making this historic instrument accessible through a web application.
My professional experience includes internships at BMW, where I worked on software development with Java and cloud technologies, and at TU Chemnitz, where I developed a web platform for C++ homework submissions and an interactive display system for lecture hall availability. Over the years, I've also created various websites, from Joomla-based platforms for swimming associations to custom web applications.
For over 15 years, I've been a member of my local swim club "Schwimmteam Erzgebirge e.V." As an active competitive swimmer for most of this time, I also took on the responsibility of managing the club's IT infrastructure, website, and tools starting in 2017. Since 2023, I've served as head of youth and as a member of the board. Besides swimming I also enjoy going for a hike as well as cross-country skiing in the winter. In 2020 I completed the En Svensk Klassiker, a Swedish endurance challenge consisting of four iconic events: Vasaloppet (90km cross-country skiing), Vätternrundan (300km cycling), Vansbrosimningen (3km open water swimming), and Lidingöloppet (30km trail running).
My musical journey began with glockenspiel in kindergarten and melodica in primary school, before I started playing the accordion in 2011. I later joined the accordion orchestra "Fisarmonicer", where I played second voice at numerous concerts. In 2018, we traveled to San Francisco together for two memorable performances. After starting my university studies, I had to step back from the orchestra due to time constraints, but music remains an important part of my life.
